So, what have I been up to reading wise? I’ll tell you about it in today’s WWW article.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme article I love to write. In this article, I’ll tell you about what book(s) I last finished reading, What book(s) I’m currently reading and What I’m planning to read next. I also love to hear what all of your WWW’s are so feel free to leave a reply! Happy Reading!

I was able to finish 3! books in the past week. First up is Crush the King by Jennifer Estep, book 3 in the Crown of Shards series. It was an okay conclusion, but not as strongly written as the prior written books I think. Overall, this is a series I’d definitely recommend reading and I really hope, seeing the enormous open ending at the end of book 3, there’ll be another book in the series. I’ve also heard the author’s working on a spin-off series, which I’m really excited about as well. But yeah… If you like fantasy romance this is definitely a series I’d recommend picking up!

I also finished reading Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare. I won’t go into to much detail because my review will go online upcoming Saturday and aside from that; Once I start talking about a Cassandra Clare book, I’ll have written down an entire essay before I know it haha – my review is over 1500 words for example, lol. But what I Can and already will say: This book felt like coming home and I loved it so incredibly much!!! I’m really sad I’m done reading now. I never want to say goodbye to this world and these characters whenever I start reading and finish one of her books.

After Chain of Gold I picked up And the Ocean was our Sky by Patrick Ness. I wasn’t really planning to read this, because I had a pre-made TBR stack waiting for me to read. Somehow I just ended up with this book in my hands and started reading haha. I finished it within a day. It was a really fast-paced read and I’ll tell you guys a bit more about it very soon, in a review – first review draft is to be found on my Goodreads page already, so if you’re interested I’d say to go look it up 🙂 Goodreads link can be found in the CONNECT WITH ME widget in the sidebar.

On my kindle, I’m still reading Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet, the 2nd installment in the Endeavor series. I am really loving this book, but lately I’ve been exhausted whenever I go to bed and then end up not being able to read as much as I want to. It’s killing me that it therefore takes me so long to finish this book. It’s been such an awesome wild ride so far, being back with Tess and Shade and the other characters that are present. Can’t wait to see how the story continues! In a couple of weeks the book releases and then I’ll finally have a printed copy as well. And when the Corona virus situation is more manageable I’m going to plan a trip to Paris to meet up with Amanda to catch up face to face (and then also let her sign the book as well haha). Hopefully in next week’s WWW article, I’ll be talking about this book in the ‘What have I recently finished’ part of this article.

Monday night after having finished And the Ocean was our Sky, I picked up a book from my shelves that wasn’t on my TBR stack – this is so typical, lol. The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter, book 1 in the Burning series, has been on my shelves since it release. I put in a pre-order for this book because it looked so good. It said that it’s a combination of Game of Thrones and Gladiator. So that had me really excited! I picked it up Monday evening and read a bit and decided that I wanted to continue, so here we are haha. I’m not going at a fast pace because during the day there isn’t much possibility for me to focus on the reading, so I mostly only read during the evening whenever I’m not watching tv with my husband.

At this point, seeing how terrible I’m currently being at keeping myself to a pre-made TBR stack, it’s hard to think about what to read next. In the past week I ended up picking books I wasn’t planning to read yet, so yeah…

It also depends on my mood. For example; I really want to read HIM by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy, which is a contemporary sports M/M romance. But atm, I’m always picking up fantasy books, so HIM doesn’t fit the bill haha.

There’s so much to choose from. So many books on my shelves that I still want/need to read. Atm, I guess I’m most curious about these 3, so I’ll try to pick up any of them after I’ve finished my current reads:

  • All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a new YA pirates book in a while, so when I came across this book I didn’t hesitate for one second and put in an order. Really excited about it!

  • Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto

I bought this one a while ago and thought I’d be finished with it by now, but I haven’t even picked it up yet. So, hopefully soon then!

  • Aurora: the Kresova Vampire Harems by Graceley Knox & D.D. Miers

I won this book on Instagram last year and recently received it – signed by both authors!! I’ve read Graceley Knox before and really loved her writing. This reverse harem series, that she co-wrote with DD Miers is one I’ve been really excited about. I’ve been wanting to read more vampire books, adult romance at that, and this looks to be my kind of book – technically, books because the volume I got is three books combined 🙂

  • State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury

This is one I’ve had for a long time now. I got it in a book box a couple of years ago. I’ve read a lot of different opinions about this book, but the synopsis really speaks to me and I’m curious about this author’s writing (own some other books by her as well but haven’t read those either)

  • a Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy by Sarah J. Maas

I’ve been meaning to do a re-read of the series for a while now, so hopefully April will be the month in which I’ll start it.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday of this week. I’d love to hear about your reading week.

What have you recently read,
are you currently reading
and what are you planning to read next?

Tanks for Reading!
