So, what have I been up to reading wise? I’ll tell you about it in today’s WWW article.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme article I love to write. In this article, I’ll tell you about what book(s) I last finished reading, What book(s) I’m currently reading and What I’m planning to read next. I also love to hear what all of your WWW’s are so feel free to leave a reply! Happy Reading!

The last book I finished reading was House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas. I ended up rating this book with 3,5 stars. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read, which got better and better towards the end but some things weren’t as well exectued as I hoped for and in all fairness; I’ve read lots of PNR books that were at least as good, but had like 50% less pages present. Not that it really bothered me because I like Sarah’s writing, but it was something I just noticed. Nevertheless; I’m really curious about the next book! If you start reading this book and liking it, it’ll only get better; that’s a promise!

Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros is the other book I recently finished reading. Rebecca’s writing is beautiful and I always fall in love with her characters, the ones in this book no exception. There were some small remarks, but overall this was a truly beautiful read. I also love that there isn’t only romance, but focus on other important things as well, like Family!

Over the past few months I’ve started quite a lot of books that I put aside again. Not because I didn’t enjoy reading them, but because my concentration/mood just wasn’t into reading. I’m so bummed out about this because I also always seem to continue picking up new reads and forget about the others ones, even though those are MUST READ books that I’ve been wanting to read since forever. So… atm, I’m only actively reading 1 book because I barely find the right moment to pick up a book each day, let alone more than one haha.

Crush the King (Crown of Shards, #3)I’m reading Crush the King by Jennifer Estep, the third and final installment in the Crown of Shards trilogy. This is a Fantasy Romance. I’ve fell in love with Jennifer’s writing when I first got aquinted with it back when I read an anthology that had a novella by her in it. After that, I put in a pre-order for Kill the Queen, the first Crown of Shards novel, and have been pre-ordering her upcoming releases ever since. Kill the Queen was a fantastic first book in this new series by Jennifer. Protect the Prince, book 2, was really amazing as well and of course I didn’t want to wait long before starting book 3, which released last month.

So far, and I’m almost half way, it’s a fun read and I’m curious to see how it’ll end. There’s a lot of build up so far, so can’t wait to see when everything’s going to sh*t and what’ll happen then, lol. I’ve read somewhere that Jennifer is planning on writing a spin-off series about one of the minor characters, which has me really excited already. Knowing what I know from reading book 1,2 and the parts of 3 that I’ve read so far, I’d highly recommend reading this series if you like fantasy romance books!

When you go over to my Goodreads Page, you’ll see that there are two other books I ticked off as ‘Currently Reading’. These were the ones I was reading before I started to solely focus on reading Crush the King. These are the ones that I really want to finish reading before I pick up a new book.

Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, the first installment in the Last Hours trilogy, is one of them. It’s a book I’ve been wanting to get my hands on ever since first reading the Infernal Devices trilogy over 6 years ago. And now I have the book, started reading it, and haven’t been able to finish it yet. It drives me bonkers, lol. So I’m definitely planning on finishing it asap.

Then I was also reading Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet, the second installment in the Endeavor trilogy, on my kindle. Amanda kindly gifted me an arc of her upcoming release and I was so thrilled about it. Almost half way in and I was loving it so much! But yet again; my lack of concentration had me put aside the Kindle for a bit. As soon as I’m finished reading Crush the King, Starbreaker is going to be my first pick for when I want to read in bed at night. If you’re into SciFi Romance, the Endeavor series is one you’ll want to read <3 It’s so awesome!
