The countdown has begun. T-minus 15 days and we’re off to Mallorca, Spain and I’ll be able to eat, sleep, read, repeat 8 days long at the swimming pools with some (hopefully) sun. I’m so ready!
Seeing we’re saving money for a upcoming move within the next 2 years or so, we weren’t planning to take a more expensive holiday this year. But at one point though after a really stressful period, we thought ‘ah hell, we’ll just save 2 months longer than planned if it means we can go on this vacation’ that we so desperately seem to need haha. We always really live towards these 8 days in Mallorca; it’s our ultimate holiday feeling when being there, so why deny ourselves of this?
So we went ahead and booked the trip some months ago. We’re going back to the hotel we’ve been to for the past few years. We’ve had so much fun there in the past and we’ll know what to expect; All inclusive, so no cooking for 8 days , hallelujah! The food is really good, they have the best cocktails, which is definitely a big plus, LOL. Their entertainment is fun, there are a lot of different types of swimming pools present and the entire hotel is just extremely family orientated in general while being luxurious at the same time as well < which is the best for our 6 year old and his parents 😉
And going on a holiday like this, means I also get to read a lot so DOUBLE YAY haha! I was thinking about what books to bring with me for a while now and thought it’d be fun to show you guys in a TBR ON SUNDAY article, so here we go.
I always bring some printed books + my Kindle with me, so I always have enough to choose from. I’m a mood reader, so it could be that the printed copies I bring with me, are ones I suddenly don’t want to read when I’m there (my mood can be funny like that) for example. So having that Kindle with me as well, provides me with more than enough books to choose from. The printed copies that are on my vacation TBR at the moment are:
- No alpha by G. Bailey
(the Alpha Brothers #1)
- Wings of Ice by G. Bailey
(Protected by Dragons #1)
- Final Siege by Scarlett Cole
(Love over Duty #2)
- Corralled by Lorelei James
(Blacktop Cowboys #1)
- One more Time by Laurelin Paige
- Burn for me by Ilona Andrews
(Hidden Legacy #1)
These are all books written by authors who’ll attend the RARE event in London upcoming September. I really wanted to read more of the authors I wanted to meet and I still have some unread ones left on my shelves so I thought to focus on those while on vacation.
I also still have some really interesting books on my kindle that I want to read soon, so maybe I’ll start one of those while on vacation as well.
- Karda Adalta Vol 1 by Sherrill Nilson
the first book in a YA SciFi series
- Beautiful Beast by Kyla D. Knight
- Hunting the Beast by Anna Santos
Knowing myself, this TBR could very well still completely change within the next 12 days, seeing I’m known for changing my mind a lot with things like this haha. But we’ll see. Definitely no pressure. I always tend to take more contemporary romance books with me while going on holiday but I tried to mix it up a bit with some PNR/fantasy.
