[TBR ON SUNDAY] Current Priority TBR
In TBR ON SUNDAY I’ll be talking about anything related to my physical and digitial/Kindle tbr. This could be about series I haven’t finished yet, or books I really want to add to my tbr at home, my current tbr on my Kindle/ARC’s and more.
In today’s TBR on Sunday, I’ll be showing you guys some of the books that are on my priority TBR stack atm; the books I hope to read asap. It depends on my mood of course which one I actually end up reading which could be a book that isn’t on my tbr stack, but seeing there are different kind of books on this stack, there should always be a book present that I could pick from. In theory that is, lol.
Lets start with the physical TBR stack; the books that I have in print at home, waiting to be read. This stack changes often on a weekly base, depending on what new books arrive and how my mood shifts. So even though this is the stack atm, it could be entirely different next week, lol. But okay, here we go:
Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
I’ve been waiting for this book for over 6 years now – ever since I first read the Infernal Devices trilogy. I’m so obsessed with that trilogy and it’s still my fave within the Shadowhunter world as well as it’s one of my most faves trilogies in the book world in general. I was really bummed out about the fact that the release was pushed back several times. Of course I put in a pre-order for the book. Actually 2 pre-orders, because I bought thise collector’s edition as well as the regular hardcover with the dust jacket on it because I own all books in that edition (next to paperback editions as well…I’m a bit obsessed with Clare’s work haha). So I started reading the book immediately after receiving it, but fell into a bit of a reading slump 🙁 I haven’t picked it up since and I feel terrible about it. I really hope I can get back into it really soon! I was almost halfway through already, really liking it, but the right ‘mood’ just hasn’t happened yet. Ugh.
America’s First Daughter by S. Dray & L. Kamoie
I love historical fiction (and non fiction as well). American History in general has always fascinated. I don’t get around often enough to read historical books anymore because I just have to be in the right mood – yes, here’s the mood thing again haha. L. Kamoie is a pen name for one of my fave romance authors Laura Kaye, so I’ve been meaning to get one of her historical books for ages. I got this one some months ago, started reading it and really liked it so far. Put it down again and haven’t picked it up since because of the reading slump that hit me. Really hope to continue this one soon as well!
Unbreak Me by Michelle Hazen
I’m not sure anymore how I came across this book. I do know that it was an author I really like whom mentioned it and when I read the synopsis, I felt like I’d really come to love this book. So I got it for Christmas, lucky me, and hope to read it soon – as soon as I get into that ‘only romance’ kind of mood that I often get haha. Michelle is a new to me author and I love discovering new authors so I’m really excited about this one!
The Honey-Don’t List by Christina Lauren
I’ve really liked Christina Lauren’s work for years now. They were one of the first romance authors I started reading years ago. I haven’t been able to keep up with them, because they write and publsih their books so fast haha. This latest release is one I did put in a pre-order for and hope to read very soon, as well as some other books by them that I have on my shelves and hadn’t gotten around to read yet.
A Queen in Hiding by Sarah Kozloff
I came across this one a while ago when prowling online. What really did me in was the fact that, aside from liking the synopsis and the stunning cover, the author was going to publish all books in the series back to back within a couple of months. We all know how dreadful it is having to wait for a new release in a series. So the fact that this Newly written and published book was quickly being followed by next installments had me really excited to buy and read it. In the meantime, all books have been published I believe and I still haven’t read this one yet – fail < stupid reading slump!
Before she Ignites by Jodi Meadows
After having read and loved My Lady Jane, I was really interested in reading more books written by the authors whom co-wrote the Lady Janies ooks. This book was one that immedaitely lured me in. I got it from a friend of mine a while back. Have been wanting to read it for ages, so hopefully I’ll get to it very soon!
Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto
Ok, so this one was basically a cover buy. Of course I thought the synopsis was interesting as well, but damn that cover is just so awesome, don’t you think?! I’ve heard such good things about this book/author and can’t wait to find out for myself what I’ll think of it!
And then there’s the digital stack as well, on my Kindle, that I reaaaaally want to tackle soon haha. Especially the ARC’s on there waiting to be read and reviewed are ones I’m so excited about. I recently added a lot of new free e-books to my Kindle as well, as you might’ve seen in my recently publshed article (Click HERE to see the entire haul), so there’s basically too many books on there to choose from now haha. But first, some of the ARC’s that I’ve been suuuper excited about to read and that are a priority atm:
- Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet (#2 Endeavour)
I’m currently reading this one. Amanda send it to me a while ago and I couldn’t be happier! She’s one of my fave authors. I’ve started Starbreaker and am almost halfway through. It’s such a thrillling and exciting read so far! - Issued by Paris Wynters (#1 Navy Seals of Little Creek)
This is a book that I’ve been waiting for like forever, it felt like haha. I’ve had the oppportunity to read an arc of Paris’ first published book a couple of years ago, which I loved SO much! So I’m thrilled that I was given an ARC of this new book, the first in a new series. Can’t wait to dive in! I’m part of the blog tour, so you’ll be able to read my review of this one very soon! - Nobody but You by Megan Green
Megan is one of my favorite go-to authors when I’m in the mood for a great romance story that has depth, heart and beautiful writing. I’ve loved everything she’s written (and co-written) so far and can’t wait to dive into this one. Review will be available soon as well! - The Ghosts of Sherwood by Carrie Vaughn
This is a Robin Hood retelling that I was offered to read and review. I love Robin Hood and RH re-tellings so I couldn’t resist! Can’t wait to find out what I’ll think of it, hopefully soon
What books are on your TBR at the moment?
Thanks so much for reading!

I’m definitely shocked you haven’t finished Chain of Gold yet! Hopefully you can continue with it soon.

Yeah, I’m shocked as well haha! Really frustrated that I put it aside and haven’t picked back up again 🙁 But the other books that I started reading like Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet and Crush the King, are going at a snail’s pace as well. My concentration just sucks right now 🙁 Hopefully I’ll get back on track soon! I’m 7 books behind on my challenge as well, lol.

I love how you looked at everything you wanted to read. I loved your pictures. I have spent the last couple of months binge reading series in one of them is the J.D. Robb series, another are the Iris Johansen series which were three altogether. And even more.

Great TBR! I’m really interested in your review of The Honey-Don’t List. I loved their previous books, but I’m not sure about this one. My TBR consists of a lot of books on Scribd (like books from K.A. Tucker and Taylor Jenkins Reid) because I still have a few days left of my free trial. After that I think I’m going to read The bromance bookclub 😀

O, now I’m even more curious about the Honey-Don’t list to find out if I’ll feel the same way about it as you do. KA Tucker is one of my faves, happy reading!! I’ve heard good things about the Bromance Bookclub, hope you’ll enjoy that one too!

I love Christina Lauren’s books. They are cute and entertaining. Also, incidentally today would one year since I met Cassandra Clare in a litfest! I am still excited about it.

I’m hoping to read Crown of Feathers this month too. I pre ordered it last year when it came out but just never got around to reading it.
