[BOOK REVIEW] Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare (The Last Hours #1)

“We do not get to choose when in our lives we feel pain,” said Matthew. “It comes when it comes, and we try to remember, even though we cannot imagine a day when it will release its hold on us, that all pain fades. All misery passes. Humanity is drawn to light, not darkness.” Finally. After having waited for over 6 years, when I first finished reading Clockwork Princess, Chain of Gold is here. After having read some things about the characters in already published books/novella’s in the shadowhunter chronicles, I was super stoked and ready to dive into this one and then hopefully fall in love with a new…

[TAG TIME THURSDAY] the SHADOWHUNTER bookish BATTLE tag

And yet again, this tag was found over at the Bookdutchesses blog. I think I’m going to have to mention them every single Time, seeing most of the tags I did so far were originated from their blog hahaha! But seriously; how could I not do this tag? It’s a tag in which I get to talk about Shadowhunter characters. It’s sometimes terrible that you have to choose between three characters or your favorite love triangle and pick your favorite, and so on, but still… It’s a shadow hunter tag, so how could I not? And just for fun; you have to appoint points to #teamTID, #teamTMI or #teamTDA when answering…

[UNBOXING] Flick the Wick November 2018: Shadowhunters

Today’s the day I finally received my Flick the Wick November box. This Flick the Wick box is one of my most anticipated boxes made by them thus far. I am obsessed with everything shadowhunters as some of you might know, so when FtW announced that the November theme was going to be Shadowhunters I couldn’t be More Happy! I’ve already spoiled myself by looking at unboxings of this box on Instagram because I was just too excited haha! And living in the Netherlands often means that I have to wait a bit longer before receiving my box, as was the case with this one. But myyyy god, this box…

Since Clare co-writes them with several other authors, it sometimes – especially in the beginning with the Bane Chronicle novella’s – was really palpable you know? that she was co-writing these stories instead of writing everything herself. I was ‘missing’ something more often than not when reading some of the early novella’s. And I mean, as I said already; Especially when reading the Magnus Bane chronicles this was really present to me. Some of those novella’s were a bit of a letdown, to be honest. When reading the Tales from Shadowhunter Academy I have to…
