[TAG TIME THURSDAY] Procastination Book Tag
The lovely Annemieke @ Dance with Books tagged me for this awesome Tag, originally created by Kate @ Cover to Cover Book Blog. When reading her TAG article I got so excited because I loved reading it and I would definitely love to do it myself. Color me surprised when I saw that she tagged me at the end haha. So yay, here’s my Procastination Book Tag and I hope you enjoy reading it!

They’re not all listed as Romance books so I gave it a bit of a twist haha. I love it when there’s text, emails, documents and more that’s being used in books to (help) tell the story! My favorites when it comes to that are ⇒
Illuminae Files books by J. Kristoff & A. Kaufman
Texting Series by Teagan Hunter
the Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

I read a lot of books that have celebrities or royals in them, so it’s going to be a random list of books that I really enjoyed reading with a royal or celebrity in them ⇒
the Selection series by Kiera Cass
Throne of Glass books by Sarah J. Maas
Breathe by Abbi Glines
Wicked Heart by Leisa Rayven
In the Selection books, there’s of course the Prince; Maxon. Gods, I had such a crush on him when I started reading these books! Even though I haven’t given these books really high ratings – 3 stars mostly – they were such fun reads!! “Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.”
Of course in the Throne of Glass series you have it all; someone famous > Celaena Sardothien, the notorious mercenary. And then there’s Aelin as well, the Heir of Fire, destined Queen of Terrassen. “My name is Celaena Sardothien,” she whispered, “and I will not be afraid.”
Breathe by Abbi Glines focuses on a famous young rockstar. This first book in the Sea Breeze series is a phenomenal read. Jax Stone is going to be your new crush if you’ll pick up this book! “Just to make your eyes sparkle, I’d do anything. I could give it all up to know you were my girl. Just being with you and listening to your laugh is what makes up my other half. I was lost and cold inside when your heart called out to mine. Now I know you’re the only thing that keeps me hanging on, when the rest of the world seems to come crashing down.”
In Wicked Heart by Leisa Rayven we focus on movie star Liam Quinn and when I first read about him, I was immediately obsessed! Not only Liam was something I loved about this book, but basically everything else as well; the other characters, the romance, the story line and Leisa’s writing. Just perfect! “God…this,” he whispers against my lips. “You. You’re everything.”

I haven’t been active on Twitter in a long while and even then I didn’t really use it much. My blog articles are automtically posted on Twitter, but other than that I don’t really use it anymore.
So I’m not really up to date with active Twitter accounts seeing I don’t keep myself updated. So I’ll skip this one 😉

I recently started a new theme on the Bookstagram account – I don’t use Snapchat – on which I share bookish photos, so I thought I’d share an overview of those pics. You can find my bookstagram page >> HERE.
I love finding new bookstagram accounts to follow, so if I don’t follow you yet, please let me know what your instagram handle is and I’ll look you up and give you a follow!

Hmm… I’m not sure if there’s a recent read that I was Really surprised by in a good way. I finished reading Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet recently which was a fantastic read, but I was expecting it to be good, so I don’t tink it counts then haha.
Looking back to what I’ve read this year so far, I’d go with The Flame of Olympus by Kate O’Hearn, the first book in the Pegasus series. It’s Middle Grade and I normally don’t often read MG books. This one really surprised me in a very good way!

Throughout the years there have been lots of pretty great books that were able to suck me in right from the start and that I just HAD to keep reading.
It’s really impossile to choose just a couple, but okay… Here are some of my favorites ⇒
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
- Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
- Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
- Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen
- Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
- a Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
- Illuminae by J. Kristoff & A. Kaufman

It’s been a while since I’ve been using a Bullet Journal. At the time, it brought me a lot of joy to create those pages and using it as a planner, a way of using lists and more. Now, my mind’s too chaotic and restless to start a Bujo again, but hopefully someday I’ll pick it up.
I wrote an article in which I show some of the Bookish pages that I put into my Bullet Journals. Feel free to take a look. Click on the Image below and you’ll be redirected to the article.

It was fun to look through the blog archive and go in search of some fun articles I’d like to highlight. Here are some articles I think you’d might enjoy ⇓

I absolutely LOVE reading books that have multiple POV’s. Thankfully it’s present a lot when reading Romance books but in a lot of (YA) fantasy books too. I think it gives mostly always more depth and development to the characters in general and gives a more ‘complete’ feel to the reading experience. Some books/series with multiple POV’s that I truly loved are ⇓
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
All shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare
Maybe Someday, Ugly Love & November 9 by Colleen Hoover
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson
Starbound trilogy by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
My Lady Jane by Hand, Ashton, Meadows
Thunder Road series by Katie McGarry

On a Daily base I come acrossy really beautiful bookstagram accounts, so it’s really not doable to make me choose most favorites haha. Later this week I’ll be introducing a new Item on the blog called SHELFIE SATURDAY, in which I’ll share bookstam accounts/shelfie pictures that I absolutely love. This way I hope to #spreadthebooklove a bit more and it’s always great to drool over beautiful shelfie pics I think haha! For now, I’ll share 4 bookstagram accounts that I think you guys would like to follow as well, if you don’t do so already ⇓

O goodie, this is a fun one!! I looooove enemies/haters-to-lovers romances!
There are a lot that I really enjoyed, for example ⇓
Angel’s Blood by Nalini Singh (Adult Paranormal Romance)
the Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen (New Adult Fantasy Romance)
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (New Adult Fantasy Romance)
Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen (YA Fantasy)
a Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet (Adult Fantasy Romance)
a Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer (YA Fantasy)
Arrogant Devil by RS Grey (Contemporary Romance)
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout (YA Fantasy)
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Mcguire (New Adult contemporary)
a Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (NA Fantasy Romance)
Angelfall by Susan Ee (YA Fantasy)
Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins (Adult Paranormal Romance)
Where I Belong by J. Daniels (Contemporary Romance)
To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

I haven’t read nearly as much musical books as I’d like, whether it’s a rockstar romance or a book in which music is an important element in the story. The ones that I read and really loved are ⇓
Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
(it’s more present in the background here, but I love Jem and his violin!!)
a Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Another Postcard by Elle Christensen
Breathe by Abbi Glines
Rock Courtship by Nalini Singh
Blind Attraction by Eden Summers

I have a feeling that I need to repeat myself a lot when it comes to writing down favorite books. Most favorite books take place in an alternate world that I’ve come to really love ⇓
- The Infernal devices by Cassandra Clare
I am super intruiged with the Shadowhunter world. I’m not sure if I’d be brave enough to be a shadowhunter, but I love te set up of this world a lot!
- Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
How could I not go with this one?! Who wouldn’t want to go into this magical world? Being able to maybe visit Hogwarts. But I’d also love to be able to travel around the world to study magical creatures and things like that.
- Penryn and the End of Days by Susan Ee
I love the dark and twisted world Susan has created > Angels taking over the world and doing nasy experiments on children. Super creepy! I’d never want to live in a world like this, but it was truly awesome to read about it!
- Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
I am suuuuper intruiged with the world the Chimaera’s live in and I really hope Laini is going to revisit this world again in the future and continues writing in it!
- A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas
I love this world! It’s dark an twisty in some parts, but there’s so much beauty in it as well. How I’d love to be able to go to Velaris someday!
- Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
When you first get to know this world, it’s not a really nice place to be but it’s so full of promise. It once was a beautiful world filled with magic and it could be again. I loved every part of this world that we were able to discover throughout the series and I’d love it if Sarah would write spin-offs. I’d love to read more about the parts of the world where the Rhuk’s live or about the home of the Witches. And of course… Terrassen. I definitely would want to be able to go to Terrassen.

These are some that I’ve always love watching/reading. Click on their names and you’ll be redirected to their webpages ⇓

When I look at series, not trilogies, I think most of the ones that I read got better and better with each book. When reading trilogies I often think the second book isn’t better than the first and it’s definitely also not a given of the last book being better as well. With the longer series I’ve read, mostly always I ended up thinking the series only got better, ending with a strong final installment. Some of those ‘getting better and better’ series for me are ⇒
Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare
Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead

Oh, there’s lost of good books to be found that has great friendships, in all kinds of genres that I love to read.
Young Adult New adult
Adult (Fantasy/Paranormal) Romance
Harry Potter books by JK Rowling
I love the friendship between Harry/Hermione and Ron but there are much more great friendships to be found in this book.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Karou and Zuzana are the best!!!
Flight & Glory series by Rebecca Yarros
I love all the already excisting but also the new forming friendships in this series! Such wonderful characters and precious relationships.
Kingmaker Chronicles by Amanda Bouchet
The group of men Cat becomes a part of is amazing. It reminds me of the Inner Circle from the SJ Maas books. The friendships are truly awesome and beautiful.
Endeavor books by Amanda Bouchet
The group of friends Tess surrounds herself with is truly great!
a Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
The Inner Circle is GOALS
Throne of Glass books by Sarah J. Maas
I truly love ALL friendships in this series; Aelin/Lysandra or Aelin/Dorian and don’t forget about Dorian/Chaol and many more!
Guild Hunter books by Nalini Singh
Elena fits in very well with Raphael and his ‘Seven’. In their own way, each one of them has such a beautiful friendship with the other. Some are more playful, some more serious or even a bit of love/hate friendships. The newly added partners you get familiar with throughout the series are all great additions as well.

The first ones that popped into my mind right away are Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker, Starcrossed books by Leisa Rayven, Arrogant Devil by RS Grey & The Brave Line by Kate Stewart. These workplace romances are truly THE BEST!

I haven’t done a tag this huge in a while haha. I loved it, even though I sometimes felt like I was repeating myself a lot haha. But still… It was fun talking about all these books and other things as well like Bookstagram, etc.
What’s a favorite book of yours that features a pet
or has Animal shifters in it?
Hope you liked reading it – Thanks if you stuck through till the end 😉
