I came across an article over at the Bibliophagist called the ABC book challenge. In this article she mentions her 5-star reads starting with a certain letter – you follow the alphabet from A-Z – and also books on the tbr starting with that specific letter. It sounds like a really fun way to showcase my favorite read books and also take a closer look at the books on my tbr. I’ve decided to only look at my 2018 reads when talking about my 5-star reads unless there aren’t any 5 stars read to be found when it comes to a certain letter. Then I’ll highlight some of my 4 and 4.5-star…

    [BEAT THE BACKLIST 2019] Intro

Even though I failed miserably at succeeding in the Beat the Backlist 2018 challenge, I decided to sign up for 2019’s edition again. Why? I’m determined to succeed in next year’s edition, since I really really really want to tackle some books on my (prior) 2018 releases tbr and this challenge is hopefully going to help me with this and keep me motivated throughout the year. I always like connecting with other people during readathons and things like that and this beat the backlist community is really awesome I think, so I’m looking forward to being a participant in 2019! I decided to copy and paste some of the information…

[BOOK REVIEW] Seasons of Sorcery, a Fantasy anthology by Amanda Bouchet, Grace Draven, Jeffe Kennedy & Jennifer Estep

Back in November this fantasy anthology was released – November 13th – and today is the day I’ll be sharing my reviews/thoughts/feelings on the four short stories inside this Fantasy anthology. One of the authors, Amanda Bouchet, approached me and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing this anthology that she had co-written alongside 3 other authors: Grace Draven, Jeffe Kennedy and Jennifer Estep. Of course I accepted immediately because 1. It’s Amanda Bouchet and I want to read everything that she writes – yes, even down to her grocery list 😉 I am that obsessed with her amazing writing, lol. 2. I already read and loved some of Grace…

[UNBOXING] Illumicrate November 2018: Clever Ruse

Earlier today I received my November Illumicrate box, so it’s time for me to share my unboxing. Illumicrate is a book box company located in the UK. I’ve been ordering boxes from them since October ’17 and so far they haven’t disappointed me yet with their choice in books and merchandise. The books I’ve read so far have been 5-star reads to me, so I can’t wait to see if the books in this month’s box are going to be just as good when I get around to read them. Illumicrate doesn’t send out boxes on a monthly base but they do so once every quarter, so that’s 4 boxes…

    [WRAP UP] November 2018

Aaaaaand that’s a wrap, folks! November has been a busy month, even though I don’t feel like having accomplished much on the reading part. But when looking back into my reading archive, it turned out I’ve read more books than I thought haha so that’s good. I also published quite a lot of articles on the blog so I’m happy with that as well. I put down some fellow blogger articles in this month’s wrap-up, I’ll show you guys my reading stats of November and I’ll be looking forward to December. All that and more in this month’s wrap-up…Here we go! What did I read in November? I started November…

In order to clean out my Want To Read list on Goodreads, I decided to give this a try by writing the Down the TBR Hole article. This article was originally created by Lost in a Story and a lot of other bloggers are publishing it as well so you might’ve already come across it here and there. I always like reading those Down the TBR Hole articles and hopefully you’ll like to read it over here on my blog as well. | HOW DOES IT WORK? | ◊ Go to your goodreads to-read shelf. ◊ Order on ascending date added. ◊ Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re…
