Aside from reading, I’ve always loved watching movies and tv series and all that. Ever since I was a young girl, I was addicted you could say haha. So I though it’d be fun to write a wrap-up of some sorts on what I’ve watched each month as well as what I’m looking forward to seeing.
I love to hear what you’ve been seeing and looking forward to as well. I always love getting new recommendations Happy reading!
Laws of attraction
@ Prime Video
Two prominent divorce attorneys begin to see each other in court, and sparks start flying. Audrey (Julianne Moore) and Daniel (Pierce Brosnan) see the worst part of failed marriages, which is why they have remained single. In court, they love to fight each other, each wanting so badly to win that they play dirty.
I love feelgood movies. I love Pierce Brosnan. I love Julianne Moore. I found it a bit surprising that I hadn’t seen this movie before. Glad to have come across it on Amazon Prime Video. It was real fun to watch and it’s a great pick if you want to be entertained with a good feelgood movie!
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
@ Prime Video
Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too.
Even thoug I love the first three movies the best, this one was definitely fun to watch as well. I’ve seen the movie at the cinema, but have re-watched it a couple of times ever since. I like the new elements in this one with the sirens/mermaids and the new time setting as well as the villain > Blackbeard was awesome!
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
@ Prime Video
Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) searches for the trident of Poseidon while being pursued by an undead sea Captain and his crew.
It’s definitely palpable that the franchise isn’t what it used to be when among others, Gore Verbinski directed the movies, but I just can’t stop re-watching these movies every once in a while. This movie is far from perfect, as the 4th movies also wasn’t perfect, but it was a fun watch in a time when I needed some distraction! Even though this one and the fourth movie weren’t as good as the first three were, I’d definitely be interested in seeing another movie with the way they ended it > end credit scene.
Terminator: Dark Fate
@ Big Screen at Home
An augmented human and Sarah Connor must stop an advanced liquid Terminator from hunting down a young girl, whose fate is critical to the human race.
I’ve been a fan of the Terminator franchise ever since I was a young girl. I was legally way too young to watch it, but I always watched movies above the age limit, lol. Couldn’t get enough of movies like this one or Alien and Predator for example. And I have been hooked to this franchise ever since. Each movie has it’s better and weaker parts, but overall I’ve liked them all with the first 2 being my favorites still. It was great nostalgic to see Linda Hamilton and Schwarzenegger together again in Dark Fate. This movie was in some regards really poorly put together (the script wasn’t really impressing and it felt quite flat from time to time) but for nostalgic sake and the fact that the new terminator you get aquinted with in this one was quite awesome, it was a fun watch for me still.
The Mentalist season 6 & 7
@ Prime Video
A famous “psychic” outs himself as a fake, and starts working as a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation so he can find “Red John”, the madman who killed his wife and daughter.
I’ve watched and followed this show ever since it first aired back in 2008 and loved it so much. I’ve been binge watching the entire show in the past months, and wrapped it all up in March by watching the last 2 seasons. It was so much fun to re-watch it all. Can’t recommend this series enough! The story-lines, the characters… just great!
House M.D. Season 1
@ Prime Video
An antisocial maverick doctor who specializes in diagnostic medicine does whatever it takes to solve puzzling cases that come his way using his crack team of doctors and his wits.
House MD is one of the series my husband and I love watching together. We’ve already seen it all, but love to re-watch every once in a while. So in March we started a re-watch, starting with Season 1. A truly marvelous series that despite the fact that it’s a bit older now, remains being just fantastic to watch!
- Anne with an E
- Silver linings Playbook
- Locke & Key
- Marriage Story
- Code 8
And not in the picture; but I’m super curious about Extraction with Chris Hemsworth that’s coming to netflix in a couple of weeks! The trailer looks really good and intense and it’s a perfect pick to watch with my husband.
- The Night Manager
- Emerald City
- The Magicians
- Start Up
- Five feet apart
- Mortal Engines
On Prime Video it’s mostly TV series that are on my want to watch list atm. Problem about that is that there’s just ‘so much’ you can invest in at once so I won’t be able to watch all of this in a short time unfortunately. But eventually I really want to start watching these series and find out what I’ll think of them. Especially can’t wait to see what I’ll think of the Night Manager, with two of my favorite actors; Tom Hiddlestone and Hugh Laurie!
Also really excited about Five Feet apart and Mortal Engines! Both look like movies I’d really love so you’ll probably see what I thought about them in a wrap up pretty soon.
What have you loved watching in November? Favorite movie and/or a specific TV series you loved? I’m always looking for new recs! Love to hear from you!
